Q: Am I or my loved ones too old or too young for training?
A: Students ranging from 3 years old to 70 can train at the schools in classes designed for various age groups and levels of proficiency.
Q: Are the classes safe?
A: Sparring is light-no contact and is reserved for advanced students who are trained to have controlled and accurate kicks. There are no contact in the beginners classes to ensure maximum safety, and we do not use any weapons. In fact, all juniors and children are required to wear helmets during any type of kicking drills as an extra measure of safety. We pride ourselves on being of the safest schools in the area.
Q: Will my child become a bully or too aggressive?
A: Absolutely not! Tae Kwon Do builds confidence and discipline through the strict traditional guidelines which are taught by the instructor. These guidelines help channel aggression into positive activity.
Q: How do I move up through the ranks?
A: Over a period of time, the instructor will make evaluations of each student. Those who are chosen to be promoted will have to take a formal test based on their physical techniques and mental attitude.
Q: How much do classes cost?
A: There are many programs to choose from, all varying in price range. The most basic program-and the best to start with-is the Introductory Program. This program involves lessons over a two-week span, which will explain the basic format of the classes, and will give the instructor an opportunity to choose which program in most suitable. This program costs only $19.95, which includes a uniform.
